Homeowner Associations
At Benson & Associates, we represent homeowner associations that need the help of experienced construction defect attorneys. Construction defect litigation is complex litigation, typically involving multiple parties and claims, technical investigations, complex insurance issues, tens of thousands of pages of documents in each case, and specialized pre-litigation procedures.
Representing homeowners and their associations in construction defect litigation is all we do. By limiting our practice to construction defect cases, we are able to provide the highest quality representation to our clients. We are able to utilize our experience with construction defect law, as well as our reputation with defense attorneys, insurance adjusters, builders, and experts to maximize our clients’ recoveries.
Protecting Homeowner Associations
Our attorneys have represented more than one hundred homeowner association who take pride in the homes that they build. However, some builders in a rush to bring product to the market at the lowest cost cut corners or do not comply with building codes, plans, and specifications. When homeowners request corrective work, these same builders often present the homeowners with excuses, delays, and unfulfilled promises. Sometimes a builder performs the corrective work, but the corrective work itself is substandard.
We represent homeowner associations with various construction defect problems, including:
- Structural defects
- Roof leaks
- Water intrusion
- Deck issues
- Cracked concrete
- Siding defects
- Settlement
- Mold
- Asphalt defects
- Improper fire-resistive construction
