CAI Rocky Mountain
The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Community Associations Institute is the primary organization in the region dedicated to fostering vibrant, responsive and competent community associations. The Chapter serves the needs of community associations for the entire State. Members include condominium, cooperative, and homeowner associations as well as those who provide services and products to associations.

CAI Southern Colorado
The Southern Colorado Chapter of Community Associations Institute serves the needs of community associations in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Trinidad, and other Southern Colorado cities. Members include condominium, cooperative, and homeowner associations as well as those who provide services and products to associations. The Southern Colorado Chapter has 320 members and it is one of 57 Chapters of Community Associations Institute.

The “Colorado Common Interest Ownership Act” provides a uniform framework for the creation and operation of common interest communities; through the setting of budget guidelines, the creation of statutory assessment liens, the granting of six months’ lien priority, the facilitation of borrowing, and more certain powers in the association to sue on behalf of the owners and through enhancing the financial stability of associations by increasing the association’s powers to collect delinquent assessments, late charges, fines, and enforcement costs.

The Construction Defect Action Reform Act regulates construction defect claims in Colorado, providing a pre-lawsuit notice of claim process, and limiting damages.
